Description

Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, Named by Cramer 1779

Colour: Colouration topside (recto) brown and orange with black eyelet markings. The underside (verso) hind-wings are similar in appearance but paler.

Size: Wingspan 50-60mm

Comments & Applications: A wide ranging species found throughout the Neotropical region. Commonly called the Tropical Buckeye butterfly. Not often offered for sale, collectable and ideal for trade applications creating unique one off pieces.

Format: Unmounted, papered, wings folded, requires relaxing and setting
