Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae. Named by Cramer in 1777
Colour: Colouration topside (recto) brown with lemon patches and orange eye markings. The underside (verso) hind-wings are a mixture of browns.
Size: Wingspan 50-55mm
Comments & Applications: A lovely Pansy butterfly from the oriental region. Commonly called the Lemon Pansy butterfly. Not often offered for sale, collectable and ideal for trade applications creating unique one off pieces.
