Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Linnaeus in 1758
Colour: Topside (recto) black with white bars. Hind-wing has two large blue eye markings. Underside (verso) has an intricate mix of brown and cream camouflage patterns with streak of orange.
