Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Linnaeus in 1758
Colour: Topside (recto) forewings are coloured black with cream/blue margin and single eyespot. The hindwing recto is blue with orange eye markings. The underside is brown with pale orange and various black lines/spots.
Size: Wingspan 45-55mm
