Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae. Named by Godart in 1819
Colour: Colouration topside (recto) brown with orange markings. The underside (verso) hind-wings are a mixture of browns and cream.
Size: Wingspan 30-40mm
Comments & Applications: A small libythea butterfly from the oriental region. Commonly called the club beak butterfly. Not often offered for sale, a collectable connoisseur species.
