Taxonomy Identification: Family Lucanidae, first named by Nagai in 2000
Colour: Overall colour is dark brown to black. The elytra is covered in a fine golden hair.
Size: Length of beetle measuring from tip of jaw to the end of abdomen is 55-60mm (excludes legs and antenna).
