Taxonomy Identification: Family, Scarabaeidae. > rutelide. First named by Burmeister in 1844
Colour: Head, legs and base colour of elytra green, overlaid with bronze-brown colouration.
Size: Length measuring from tip of head/jaw to the end of the abdomen, but excluding legs and antenna 12-15+mm
Comments & Applications: A tiny but attractive shining scarab beetle from Peru. Nice collectors species, also useful in framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design, wall art and film
