Taxonomy Identification: Family Ithomiidae, first named by Weymer in 1883.
Colour: The wings on the male are black with brownish orange patches on the forewings and marginal border on hind-wing. Female is similar but with additional yellow patch on forewing.
Size: Wingspan 60-70mm
Comments & Applications: A neotropical species, seldom offered for sale. A butterfly for the serious connoisseur, also useful in high end applications where the customer is looking for something different from the norm.
