Description

Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Linnaeus, in 1758.

Colour: Topside (recto) dark brown, with a black eye-like marking on forewing containing two white spots. An organge patch runs alongside the eye-spot. Hindwing has smaller black spots with white centres. The (verso) undersides is pale grey-brown with intricate patterns in black.

Size: Wingspan 65-70mm
