Taxonomy Identification: Family, Nymphalidae, First named by Felder in 1861
Colour: The base colour of the topside (recto) wings is black with iridescent blue bars. The underside (verso) forewing is red and black with faint blue bar and silvery-white margin, while the verso hindwing is much “busier” with black lines and eye spots.
Size: Wingspan 40-46mm
