Taxonomy Identification: Family Scarabaeidae, First named by D’Orbigny in 1915.
Colour: A tan brown beetle with reddish markings on elytra.
Size: Length 6-10mm
Comments & Applications: A very small member of the scarab family, a specialist species for serious collectors. Recorded from moist savanna in West and Central Africa, larvae feed on Elephant dung. Ideal for closeup macro photography or taxonomy
