Taxonomy Identification: Family Sphingidae. First named by Palisot de Beauvais in 1821
Colour: The forewings are chocolate brown with light and darker brown patches and vivid white marks. Hind-wing dark brown. Abdomen black and cream striped.
Size: Wingspan 70-85mm
Comments & Applications: A intricate beautiful and overlooked hawk-moth, commonly called the Accented Hawk. Not often offered for sale, collectable species also ideal for framers, photography and the art and design industry.
