Description
Taxonomy Identification: Family Lucanidae. Named by Lacroix in 1984
Colour: Head, jaw and legs black with thin orange-brown line between head and prothorax. Elytra mustard-yellow brown, with some darker markings.
Size: Length measuring from tip of jaw to the end of abdomen, but excluding legs and antenna: 65-85mm. Specimens are supplied on a card base.
Comments & Applications: Huge tropical stag beetles. Jaw size varies according to size. Incredible insects perfect subject for the arts and design industry, photography, film, entertainment and educational purposes.
