Taxonomy Identification: Family Lucanidae, First named by Hope in 1831
Colour: The head, thorax and legs are black. Elytra a pale yellowish-brown with additional pale brown patch on head. Jaw size highly variable.
Size: Length measuring from the head-abdomen (excludes legs and antenna) 50-55mm
