Taxonomy Identification: Family Lucanidae. Named by Boileau, 1902
Colour: Head, jaw and legs black with pale orange-brown or yellow patch on head. Elytra orange or yellowish-brown.
Size: Length measuring from tip of jaw to the end of abdomen, but excluding legs and antenna: 50-80mm. Specimens are supplied on a card base.
Comments & Applications: Huge tropical stag beetles. Jaw size varies according to size. Incredible insects perfect subject for the arts and design industry, photography, film, entertainment and educational purposes.
