Comments & Applications: This stunning bird-wing is among the largest species of butterfly in the world.   The species conservation status is listed as “vulnerable” and it is limited to the remote island of Obi.  Our specimens are captive bred on specialist breeding farms, or from antique collections. Across the butterflies range there are several sub-species. We do not sell wild caught birdwing’s.

This is a much coveted butterfly, one for the serious connoisseur, also useful in high end applications where the customer is looking for something different from the norm.
