Taxonomy Identification: Family Lycaenidae. First named by Drury in 1773.
Colour: The topside (recto) wings are dark blackish purple. Underside (verso) pale whiteish blue with faun lines.
Comments & Applications: This is a rare Lycaenidae species, seldom offered for sale. Commonly known as the ‘white false head’ butterfly. A connoisseur species.
