Taxonomy Identification: Family Papilionidae, First named by Boisduval in 1836.

Colour: Topside (recto) black with white veins on forewing, hindwing with cream and pinky red patches. Underside (verso) similar but with brighter eye catching red spots on hind wings.

Size: Wingspan 70-80mm

Comments & Applications: A lovely black and reddish pink swallowtail butterfly found in Sulawesi and on the Moluccas.  A nice butterfly for trade applications; framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film
