Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Hall in 1919
Colour: (Topside) Black with white bar on forewing extending to hind-wing then changing to a broad reddish brown patch. The underside of the wings are dark brown with intricate fine lines and small marginal eye markings.
Size: Wingspan 70-85mm
