Taxonomy Identification: Family Lycaenidae, Named by Felder in 1865
Colour: Colouration topside (recto) Males are azure blue while females are much lighter blue. The underside (verso) hind-wings black and white striped.
Size: Wingspan 25-35mm
Comments & Applications: A most beautiful butterfly from the Neotropical region. Commonly called the Zebra Striped Hairstreak due to its hindwing colouration and patterning. Rarely offered for sale, collectable and ideal for trade applications creating unique one off pieces.
