Description

Taxonomy Identification: Family Papilionidae, First named by Hewitson in 1865

Colour: Overall colour black-grey with grey-white streaks and dashes, faint yellow spot on hindwing. Underside similar but with either dark yellow streaks or pale grey.

Size: Wingspan 95-110mm

Comments & Applications: A huge and beautiful swallowtail species. Always popular among collectors, in education, craft and design: butterfly framing, domes, artwork, photography, media and film applications.

Format: Unmounted, papered, wings folded, requires relaxing and setting
