Taxonomy Identification: Family Papilionidae. First named by Westwood in 1843.
Colour: The topside (recto) wings are black with creamy yellow on all four wings. Underside wings are similar but are a mix of various browns with white and creamy yellow.
Size: Wingspan 80-100mm
Comments & Applications: A most beautiful black and yellow swallowtail from subsaharan Africa. Never available in large numbers, often used in wall hangings, frames, domes and a lovely collectors species.
