Description
Taxonomy Identification: Family Papilionidae, First named by Linnaeus in 1758
Colour: Topside (recto) female: fore-wings greyish white with grey-black streaks and red spot near thorax. Hind-wings upper edge black, then a row of white edged in black spots with sepia-yellow patch. Male: Deep blue to black. Male may or may not have red streak on the forewing at the base of the cell. Underside (verso) of sexes similar to topside.
Size: Wingspan 100-120mm
