Taxonomy Identification: Family Papilionidae, first named by Eschscholtz 1821
Colour: A sexually dimorphic species. Males have black forewings, hindwings have blueish-white patterns. Females tend to have red or cream patches. Undersides (verso) black with scarlet red patterns.
Size: Wingspan 100-140mm
