Taxonomy Identification: Family, Papilionidae, First named by Linnaeus in 1771
Colour: The colour of the topside (recto) wings is black with vivid yellow bar running diagonal across all four wings with additional yellow patches on the hind wing. The hindwing tails are also coloured yellow. The underside (verso) is similar but paler with additional blue markings.
Size: Wingspan 100-110mm
