Taxonomy Identification: Family, Papilionidae, First named by Cramer in 1777
Colour: The colour of the topside (recto) wings is black with yellow bar running diagonal across all four wings with blue and red markings on the hind wing (absent in some examples). The hindwing tails are also coloured black. The underside (verso) is similar but paler with additional red and blue markings.
Size: Wingspan 75-80mm
