Taxonomy Identification: Family Lycaenidae. First named by Drury in 1773.
Colour: The topside (recto) wings are blue with black margin. Underside (verso) pale white with single faun line and large black eye.
Comments & Applications: This is a rare Lycaenidae species, seldom offered for sale. Given the curious common name ‘black-edged fairy playboy’ butterfly. A connoisseur species.
