Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae. First identified by Felder in 1860
Colour: Colouration topside (recto) on the male is black and greensih blue streaks. The underside (verso) wings are similar but paler.
Size: Wingspan 55-65mm
Comments & Applications: A lovely tiger butterfly from the oriental Thai region. Commonly called the dark glassy tiger butterfly. Not often offered for sale from this region, collectable sub-species and ideal for trade applications creating unique one off pieces.
