Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Cramer, in 1775.
Colour: Topside (recto) brown and black, with greenish-gold pattern and vivid white chain on forewings. The (verso) undersides are similar in colour but greener and lacking white chain.
Size: Wingspan 85-95mm
