Taxonomy Identification: Family, Nymphalidae, First named by Guenée in 1872
Colour: The base colour of the topside (recto) wings is black with iridescent blue bars. The underside (verso) forewing is red and black with small white patch and brownish-yellow apex, while the verso hindwing is much yellowish-brown with twin black lines and row of spots.
Size: Wingspan 40-46mm
