Taxonomy Identification: Family Lycaenidae. First named by Boisduval in 1832
Colour: Topside (recto) wings are white with brown outer margin. The underside (verso) wings are white with patterned brown margin and a single black spot on each verso hind-wing.
Size: Wingspan 24-28mm
Comments & Applications: A small delicate species, quite rare and one for the serious collector. Dried butterflies make the perfect subject for school science projects. Also framing, domes photography, interior design and film applications.
