Taxonomy Identification: Family Buprestidae. First named by Thery in 1926
Colour: Prothorax gold-brown with black patch. Elytra deeply ridged reddish-gold.
Size: Length from tip of head to end of abdomen 40+mm – excludes legs and antenna
Comments & Applications: This is a rarely offered species. One for the serious collector. A great alternative for for framers looking for a rarer bug. Ideal in domes, artwork, photography, film and jewellery applications
