Taxonomy Identification: Family Cerambycidae, First named by White 1845
Colour: Overall colour black, with variable greyish white coating. The final segments of the antenna and legs joints are reddish brown. Male has large jaws, female jaws quite small.
Size: Length measuring from the head-abdomen (excludes legs and antenna) Male 35-55mm – Female 55mm-60mm
Comments & Applications: This is a particularly odd looking beetle with long spider like legs. Rarely offered for sale. Always popular with collectors.
