Taxonomy Identification: Family Lucanidae, First named by Olivier in 1789
Colour: The head and thorax are blueish black with curious tufts of hair on each segment. The elytra is a blueish green with hints of dark brown/red and prominent black dashes and spots.
Size: Length measuring from the head-abdomen (excludes legs and antenna) 28-40mm
