Taxonomy Identification: Family Lucanidae, first named by Oberthür in 1879
Colour: Jaws, head, prothorax and legs black. Elytra brown with central black line.
Size: Length of beetle measuring from tip of jaw to the end of abdomen is 30-45+mm (excludes legs and antenna).
Comments & Applications: A small to medium sized stag beetle. Commonly used in reference collections, framing, domes, artwork, craft, photography, interior design and film
Format: Male. Unmounted, requires relaxing and setting
