Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Cramer in 1779.
Colour: The topside (recto) wings are blackish-brown with pale green semi-transparent markings, and row of reddish spots on hindwing. The underside (verso) of the wings is similar but with extensive black spots and black/white marginal dashes.
Size: Wingspan 55-65mm
