Taxonomy Identification: Family, Riodinidae, First named by Saunders in 1850
Colour: The base colour of the topside (recto) wings is black with faint white bars and large blue patch covering all four wings. Hindwings end in red dots. Outer margins of the forewings convex, distinct white bands, and white markings on the tail. The underside (verso) black with cream white bars and red spots.
Size: Wingspan 27-35mm
