Description

Taxonomy Identification: Family Saturnidae was first named by Leech in 1890

Colour: The topside (recto) of the wings are a dark reddish brown. The forewings each have a small transparent window, while the hindwings carry large eye-like markings. The underside is similar but paler.

Size: Wingspan 110-135mm

Comments & Applications: A spectacular Asian silk-moth seldom offered for sale.  The perfect species for higher end butterfly framing, domes, artwork or interior design where you are looking for a more unusual species.
