Description

Taxonomy Identification: Family,Tettigoniidae. First named by Beier in 1944.

Colour: The adult grasshopper is extremely colourful, green patched with a brown head, green collar and face. The legs are taupe brown.  The hind-wings carry a reddish brown colouration.

Size: Body length 50-60mm, wingspan 90+mm.

NOTE: Dried specimens loose the intense colour of living examples and are much darker. These are quite variable.

Format: Unmounted, papered, requires relaxing and setting
