Taxonomy Identification: Family Orthoptera, sub-family Tettigoniidae. Unidentified species.
Colour: The body and legs of this insect are dark brown. The forewings are patterned in a bark like design, brown in colour with several horizontal green streaks or patches. The hindwings are partly transparent overlaid with darker lines and patterns.
Size: Wingspan varies from 100-115. Specimens are supplied on a card base with wings spread.
Comments & Applications: This is a large bush cricket / Katydid from Asia. Commonly known as the Bark Katydid due to its colouration and appearance.
