Taxonomy Identification: Family Saturniidae. First named by Naumann & Brechlin, 2001
Colour: The topside (recto) wings are yellow with reddish brown markings and semi transparent circular eyelets on the forewings, on the hind-wings these are reduced to black spots. Underside wings (verso) similar but paler.
Size: Wingspan 90-100mm
Comments & Applications: This is a rare silk moth a relatively recent discovery. One for the connoisseur collector or use in high end bespoke productions.
