Taxonomy Identification: Family Lycaenidae. First named by Hewitson in 1869
Colour: The topside (recto) wings are white with a thick black bar on forewing tip. Hind-wing white with yellow streak and long delicate tails. Underside (verso) similar with extra black bars and white centred black spots.
Comments & Applications: This is a rare Lycaenidae species, seldom offered for sale. Commonly known as the ‘white false head’ butterfly. A connoisseur species.
