Taxonomy Identification: Family Satyrinae, Named by Staudinger in 1888

Colour: Colouration topside (recto) dark brown with burnt orange margin on hindwing. The underside (verso) hind-wings are shades of brown leaf-like in appearance.

Size: Wingspan 50-60mm

Comments & Applications: A wide ranging species found throughout the Neotropical region. Commonly called the Pale-spotted leafwing butterfly. Not often offered for sale, collectable and ideal for trade applications.

Format: Unmounted, papered, wings folded, requires relaxing and setting
