Taxonomy Identification: Family Mantidae, First named by Saussure in 1871.
Colour: The overall colour of this Mantid can vary from green to brown with a green lateral stripe on the borders of the front wings in the brown colour form. The hind-wings have a black patch with a mottled appearance.
Size: Length measuring from the tip of the head to the end of the abdomen but excluding the legs and antenna: 70-80mm. Wingspan 95-105mm. Supplied on card base with wings spread.
