Taxonomy Identification: Family Ithomiidae, first named by Rosenberg & Talbot in 1914
Colour: The wings are black with transparent and reflective patches. It has black margins and black cross-bars on the forewings and the hindwings. Small white spots are present along the margin of the wing on the underside of the wing while there are also white spots on the abdomen and the thorax.
Size: Wingspan 80-90mm
Comments & Applications: A neotropical species, seldom offered for sale. A butterfly for the serious connoisseur, also useful in high end applications where the customer is looking for something different from the norm.
