Taxonomy Identification: Family, Hemiptera; Cicadoidea. Named by Distant in 1878

Colour: The forewings are black with ivory/white  bar. The hindwing is black. The head and thorax is black separated by two reddish orange collars. The abdomen has a velvety appearance and is coloured a reddish/orange brown.

Size: Wingspan 150-165mm
