Taxonomy Identification: Family Geometridae. Unidentified species

Colour: The topside (recto) forewings are black with a yellow bar. Hindwings are black with yellow patch. Underside wings (verso) similar but paler.

Size: Wingspan 55-65mm

Comments & Applications: This is a rare moth from Ambon, not identified but nonetheless collectable. Also useful in the insect trade for its colouration and shape, perfect for design applications, entomology, craft, taxidermy

Format: Papered/unmounted, requires relaxing and setting
