Taxonomy Identification: Family Pieridae, first named by Fabricius in 1785
Colour: Topside (recto) a bright apricot yellow with thin black outer edge. The underside (verso) is yellowish-orange with faint reddish speckles and patterns and a small white eye spot.
Size: Wingspan 55-65mm
Comments & Applications: Commonly known as the Apricot Sulphur butterfly. This bright coloured species is always popular for use in frames, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
