Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, first named by Godart in 1823
Colour: The topside (recto) of this butterfly is orange and brown. The underside (verso) is mustard brown with intricate greenish-brown patterns.
Size: Wingspan 50-65mm
Comments & Applications: A small attractively patterned butterfly from China. Commonly called the Himalayan Jester. Ideal for trade applications such as wall hangings, doming, art and craft.
