Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Cramer in 1780

Colour: Topside (recto) is chocolate brown with wide orange bar overlapping fore and hind-wings. The underside (verso) is patterned with pale silvery-brown.

Size: Wingspan 65-75mm
